You say Tomato, I say Tomato

Last year I used the Jiffy seed starter kit and had a fabulous crop of tomatoes. I purchased the same kit this year and decided to try planting cucumbers as well. We have a large yard but we also have so many trees so there is not a lot of direct sunlight. We container garden out on the back deck with great results. I planted the seeds indoors and in 6 weeks they will be ready for the outdoors and warm sunshine.
I picked up the kit and seeds at our local Lowe’s. We eat lots of tomatoes so I like to have a variety of them. Have you had experience container gardening? I would love to try other veggies but I am not sure what else I could plant in containers?
I am so looking forward to seeing these beauties again in this year’s crop!

I was born with two black thumbs, but The Professor loves to dig in the dirt and grow things. His birthday is coming up and I may see if I can find this at my local Lowes. I bought him some Topsy Turvys last year and although we got only one tomato, he says he wants to try them again this year with different soil. Maybe this will get him started. Thanks for the tip!

I’ve never tried gardening, but if I did, tomatoes would be the first thing I
try. I think I’m going to have to get some now. Thanks for the reminder.
