My Sweet Things

We have a very big event coming up in October! My son will be getting married! I am in the full swing of all things wedding. You know how much I love crafting so I am ready for this! My mom had a wedding shower for the kids in May. I suggested we take a photo for their thank you cards.  A postcard thank you was what I had in mind. I used them for my wedding showers and I got a great response from those who received them.

For their photo card, I spent a late morning at their home trying to snap a photo that included their pups. The kids were awesome. The pups on the other hand, well, you can see how they looked away from the camera. I am not sure what they were looking at since I was the only one there.  Anyhoo, like I mentioned,  I  used Vistaprint for my wedding a few years ago and I was happy with the results so I decided to use them again. Vistaprint offers high quality printed materials and they have awesome prices.  100 postcards was $14.57!  You really can’t beat the price. You can create your own card design and upload a photo, or you can choose from many of their design options.

The paper is a thick card stock and glossy. They do not bend easily and I am currently using one as a bookmark!

These are the save the date magnets. Amanda ordered the large size and you can see the ones I sent for my wedding which are small. The magnet holds up well as I have had mine on my refrigerator for almost 4 years.

Using a post card thank you is cute and unexpected. On the budget side you use postcard stamps which are a bit less expensive than regular postage.

Vista Print ships quickly. I used regular 7-10 day delivery and I had them in 5 days. This pamphlet came with the order and you can see some of their pricing.

See how great they are? A coupon included! We have more paper items that will be needed for the wedding and I will use Vistaprint again. Historic Downtown Buford, Georgia ~ Backside Edition

On Saturday morning, bright and early, I packed my Belle and headed to the City of Buford. The air was cool and crisp. It was a welcome change to the high temperatures that later came in the day. I walked along the back roads of Main Street.  I was delighted by the textures to be found in Historic Downtown Buford, dating back to 1872.
