30 Days ~ April ~ iPhone 365

So somehow I have made it to the middle of May and my April iPhone photos have been sitting around waiting for me to upload. These few weeks have flown on by and I find it hard to believe that we are almost half way through the year! Here’s a peek at my April moments.

On the first day of the month, I joined the Trail Dames on a hike to the Pocket of Pigeon Mountain. I sat underneath the most cool, cascading waterfall and I must say it was a great way to start my journey into April.

There was a whole lot of puppy play time, filled with ball tossing, trips to the dog park and a visit from Maggie’s sister Lilly. Thank you Bruster’s ice cream for serving up cool, refreshing ice cream treats for the pups to enjoy after a busy, run like mad from other dog’s, trip to the park.

On the sixth, you will see me in my tin foil glory as a visit to the salon, and my magical stylist Dara, left me with some blonde highlights. Bring on Summer!

April 15th is my dad’s birthday and we took a trip to Texas to see the family. We walked along the new section of the River Walk, and stopped by our family restaurant Pete’s’ Tako House. It has been in business for over 30 years and it recently changed locations. Unfortunately for us, the grand opening was held after the day we left for Georgia! We were disappointed that we missed out on some tasty tacos but the restaurant is doing well in its new location and I applaud my aunt, cousins, and the family for continuing on with the well-loved local eatery. During our time in Texas, I also got to visit with my BFF of over 20 years! A ride in his convertible was so fun! There was so much laughter and fun. Priceless!

On April 20th my son and his lovely wife bought their first home! Such an exciting time for them! Behind their backyard is a farm with cattle and two sweet donkeys. The donkeys were friendly enough to come to the fence so we could pet them. Two cuties!

The month ended with a pre-birthday dinner for me. A wonderful, sweet friend, scrumptious Italian food and divine chocolate mousse for dessert. A perfect ending to another blessed month.

If you are interested in starting an iPhone photo a day project, Project365 is the app I use. It’s quick, easy, and free!

It’s all good. ~ Donna
