29 Days ~iPhone 365

Dear February,

You were short but very sweet. A whole lot of goodness went on and I am thankful for every day I got to spend with you! Cheers to having an extra day, and allowing me time to leap into March.  See you next year!

Let’s talk about February. It started out with a yummy Hibachi lunch with my co-workers. That does not happen too often so it was a real treat. I picked out a sweet peacock case for my iPhone. See on the 3rd? It’s so colorful and it makes me smile. My husband and I had a date night including little black dress and heels! Love that. I had an appointment with a Gastroenterologist and had a endo-bravo procedure done. My diagnosis? Acid Reflux. Hello Nexium! Nice to meet you. Thanks for taking care of that crazy chest discomfort!

For Valentines Day, my husband made me a mix tape! Yes. For real. He hooked up our old cassette tape player and I enjoyed a mix of all the songs that made him think of me. A variety of a mix including Yaz, Depeche Mode, Abba, Led Zeppelin and a recording he did of himself playing the guitar singing “Black Bird” by the Beatles. Tears I tell ya! I was also surprised with a fun gadget for my iPhone. An Olloclip! It attaches to my phone and includes a wide angle, fish eye, and macro lens. I’ll be sharing a few fun photos I took with it soon.

I hiked with the Trail Dames along Vickery Creek Trail. If you missed that post, you can check it out here.  Love those Dames! I always have a great time with them. See those two cuties on the 24th? That’s my son and daughter-in-law. We had a lunch date and I am always so happy to spend time with them.

The last weekend of February I had a wonderful surprise. I have a new pup we have named Maggie. Have you had a chance to meet her yet? Check her out here. We are in our second full week with her and it’s been a real twist in our schedules but we love her so much and we are making it through the puppy training.

Thanks February! It was another sweet month.

It’s all good. ~ Donna

P.S. iPhone 365 is the app I am using for this project. I downloaded it from the Apple App Store. It’s so easy to use and it keeps all my photos well organized using a monthly calendar. Check it out here.

Trail Dames Hike ~ Vickery Creek Trail

Yesterday I joined the Trail Dames for another hiking adventure. Vickery Creek Trail is located in Roswell, Georgia. The creek formed on the property of a mixed-blood Cherokee woman named Vickery. Sadly she was forced to move west with the rest of the Cherokee nation on the forced march know as the “Trail of  Tears”. The creek name is her lasting legacy.

The weather was cool and comfortable and the trail was a moderate 6.3 mile loop. I enjoyed the laughter and conversations along the trail and after the hike, I joined a group of Dames for lunch at Chaplain’s in Roswell Mill. I carried my Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L on this hike. I have been using this lens on hikes lately so I have the ability to zoom out for group shots. It is a bit heavier to carry around but very versatile for hiking.

Hello there! A fellow Dame was kind enough to snap this photo so I could be included in this group shot. There I am, sitting on the right side of the bench, wearing my Trail Dames t-shirt!

For more information on the Trail Dames, please click here. I added hiking with Trail Dames in my category listing on my left side bar, so if you would like to see other hikes and photos I have taken, please take a look there.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you the sweetest day!

It’s all good. ~ Donna
